Parents are the primary educators of their children, yet the public school system often fails in its responsibility to not infringe on parental rights by promoting divisive ideology and failing to respond with respect and transparency when concerns are raised. SB 12 builds on previous legislation to remove DEI from schools, requires parental transparency in matters concerning the student’s mental or physical health, and strengthens the parental grievance and appeals process.
