By implementing pro-growth policies that have been championed in Texas relative to the liberal policies by the Obama Administration, the future can be much more prosperous for Americans.
But this line of reasoning puts too many eggs in one basket and potentially handicaps prosperous trade agreements.
Though low oil prices, stronger dollar, and weak global economy have challenged the Texas economy, the economy has withstood these headwinds relatively well from a highly diversified economy supported by pro-growth policies championed by the Texas model.
There is much to remain positive about in the Lone Star State after more jobs were created last month than in the previous two months. The Texas Legislature should continue to take steps to limit spending, reduce regulation, and cut taxes so that the success of the Texas model will continue to benefit all Texans.
Overall, the personal income data and the action taken by the Texas Legislature show that Texans have reason to be encouraged about their future prosperity.

The latest report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) shows that many states economies improved in 2014. Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), a measure of inflation-adjusted economic output, increased in 48 states and the District of Columbia, and the entire U.S. real GDP increased 2.2 percent last year after a 1.9 percent increase in 2013.
Overall, the strides taken this session by legislators to pass pro-growth policies will contribute to improving the Texas model and contribute to more opportunities for homeowners, entrepreneurs and will help all Texans to prosper.
