On Thursday, the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) filed an amicus curiae brief urging the Texas Supreme Court to grant review of a case involving Maverick County’s questionable adoption of its annual property tax rate. This particular case illuminates loopholes in the tax rate adoption process and demonstrates the need for stronger taxpayer protections.
