Last month, the Center for Local Governance traveled to the city of Detroit to see firsthand the social and economic consequences of poor public policy, and also to learn more about the Motor City’s most recent attempt to rise from the ashes via a combination of private sector investment and increased entrepreneurship (see Detroit Risingfor more).

One of the encouraging stories to come from our trip was that of Miiha, a school bus driver and a ridesharing entrepreneur who is seizing opportunity on her own rather than rely on government welfare programs. Check it out!
