This afternoon, the House gave final passage to HB 3430 by Rep. Mark Strama, which would create an online searchable database of state agency expenditures. Increased transparency in government spending has been a major Foundation priority this session. Reps. Bryan Hughes, Ken Paxton, and Corbin Van Arsdale also filed bills on spending transparency, which were incorporated into HB 3430.
