A well-known economist and policy-maker, Senator Phil Gramm is a 1964 graduate of the University of Georgia. Receiving his doctorate in economics from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, he later taught economics at Texas A&M University from 1967 to 1978. Soon after, he was elected to the United States House of Representatives where he remained until 1984 when he was elected to the United States Senate. In 2002, he retired honorably from public office after serving three terms.
Stacy Hock is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Texas at Austin where she received a B.A. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and later her MBA. She has served in the senior management of I.B.M., and is currently the manager of the Joel & Stacy Hock Charitable Fund and the co-owner of Hock, LLC. She also serves on the boards of the Texas Public Policy Foundation and several other businesses and non-profits. Stacey is the proud mom of four young boys and resides in Texas.
