A Martyr for the Left
What to know: The left is now treating Renee Good, who was killed attempting to ram an ICE agent with her vehicle, as a martyr.
The TPPF take: The left seeks martyrs to fuel anti-Trump uprising.
“Why the drive for martyrs?” asks TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “It stems from a deep understanding of revolutionary psychology. Today’s agitators aren’t the opportunistic looters of past riots; they’re ideologically driven, often professional organizers funded by left-wing billionaires and overseas sources, including China. These groups know additional high-profile deaths in clashes with ICE could spark nationwide outrage, amplified by sympathetic media.”

Eat Real Food
The TPPF take: One of the chief ideological tenets of the progressive left is that what you eat says a great deal about who you are.
“The left would classify eating steak as a sin, if they believed in sin, so the new food pyramid—with its big picture of red meat at the top—is likely to make lefties go crazy,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “There’s also a left-wing war on dairy, causing us to live in a world where people actually drink something called ‘oat milk’ and demand gluten-free communion wafers. The rest of us, who have known since the Atkins diet in the 1980s that protein, fruits and vegetables are the key to health and carbs are the road to oblivion, were not surprised by Kennedy’s policy change.”

School Choice in Texas
What to know: School choice has come to Texas.
The TPPF take: Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s office launched the official website for the state’s new school choice program, known as Texas Education Freedom Accounts.
“Eligible Texas children can receive public funds deposited into a personalized account to be used for approved education expenses,” says TPPF’s Brian Phillips. “These include private school tuition, textbooks, tutoring, specialized therapies, transportation to approved providers, online courses, and career or technical education programs. Applications open February 4, 2026. In the meantime, a broad coalition of activists, parents, and organizations are helping to spread the word so that parents can start getting ready to apply now.”
