A Mighty Wind
What to know: The federal government has shut down the Vineyard Wind project off New England after a turbine failure sent debris into the ocean.
The TPPF take: TPPF attorneys will be in court on Thursday to fight for all those impacted by the wind project—and the corners that the developers have been allowed to cut.
“In its rush to implement its ‘energy transformation,’ the Biden/Harris administration skipped key environmental impact studies,” says TPPF’s Robert Henneke. “The federal government is required to ensure safety and environmental protection by law when approving projects including offshore wind farms. And officials knew this project came with risks.”

Housing First, People Last
What to know: One San Diego County supervisor says it’s time for California to reconsider its “Housing First” approach to homelessness.
The TPPF take: “Housing First” is a failed policy that puts people last.
“In 2013, Barack Obama began focusing government efforts on funding publicly subsidized housing,” says TPPF’s John Bonura. “Housing First, as it is known, was lauded as the policy that would end homelessness in 10 years. It has been more than 10 years now, and the number of people living without homes has only gone up. America has been hamstrung by this policy because it tries to outspend a problem instead of addressing the root causes.”

Don’t Start
What to know: General Motors and now Porsche are scaling back their electric vehicle plans—because most consumers simply don’t want them.
The TPPF take: Americans simply don’t want to be forced into electric vehicles.
“No matter how many subsidies and regulations the federal government pushes onto the market, consumers prefer gasoline’s convenience and reliability,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “They are also waking up to the fact that EVs have not delivered on their highly anticipated environmental promise.”
