Backing the Blue

What to know: National Police Week is an opportunity to recognize our courageous police officers.

The TPPF take: Thank our police officers this week; they need to hear it.

“It has been quite the year for our police officers,” says TPPF’s Randy Petersen. “And officers handled it all remarkably well. I believe that most police officers know that those screaming the loudest are usually not in the majority, that most of this country still appreciates them and their service.”

We’ve Noticed

What to know: As Fox News’ Tucker Carlson points out, the Biden administration is making a mess of the economy.

The TPPF take: This is by design.

“If prices are higher, we have to consume less and by consuming less, we can save the planet,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore responded on Tucker’s show. “Never mind what China does, never mind what India does. It’s all about reducing our standard of living, so that we can, you know, contribute to the future climate of the planet.”

Time Bomb

What to know: A new Wall Street Journal editorial says HR 1, which would bring sweeping changes to voting laws, is an unconstitutional time bomb guaranteed to end up in court if passed.

The TPPF take: The WSJ is right; HR 1 is clearly unconstitutional.

“It removes all accountability from our elected representatives in favor of unelected bureaucrats and muzzles free speech by limiting peaceful assembly, restricting contributions, and prohibiting anonymous political memberships,” says TPPF’s Kevin Roberts. “It is an all-out attack on democracy, federalism, and nearly every cornerstone of American liberty.”
