Committing Chaos
What to know: A Pakistani with ties to Iran has been arrested in a plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump.
The TPPF take: Iran has chosen its favorite candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election—and it’s not Donald Trump.
“After four years of former President Donald Trump’s maximum pressure campaign, Iran was broke, with no money for terror and no money to advance a nuclear weapons program aimed at the destruction of Israel,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “As they did with the southern border and immigration, the Biden-Harris administration reversed all of Trump’s policy successes in the Middle East. As a result, a newly wealthy Iran is flush with dollars to underwrite terror and trouble around the globe.”

War on Energy
What to know: Fox Business’ Larry Kudlow says that a Harris-Walz administration would continue the war on fossil fuels and U.S. energy production.
The TPPF take: Should the Harris-Walz ticket win the election, we can expect a continuation of the “all-of-government” approach to shutting down U.S. energy production.
“Over 95% of the movement of all people, goods and services is powered by oil,” says TPPF’s Mark Mills. “Economies collapse if the costs of transportation soar or, worse, if transportation ceases. Those are the realities.”

Never Again
What to know: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was a “COVID-19 tyrant,” reports say. He even set up a hotline for people to report their neighbors for not obeying social distancing rules.
The TPPF take: Those heavy-handed COVID-19 policies were a failure, and must never be repeated.
“While businesses were shuttered, people were forced to stay home, and schools remained closed, the unintended social and economic consequences were clear,” says TPPF’s John Bonura. “Rising unemployment, learning loss among students, spiking rates of domestic violence, and a pandemic-level rise in drug abuse and overdoses. All of that social and economic devastation yielded a minimal impact on health-related suffering due to COVID-19.”
