Electioneering

What to know: The Texas Attorney General’s Office has sued Denton ISD over alleged electioneering—including principals who instructed their staffers to vote for candidates who oppose parent empowerment.

The TPPF take: Electioneering—especially with taxpayer resources—is wrong.

“This is part of a disturbing and brazen pattern of school employees using their leadership positions and official resources to coordinate lobbying and political activism,” says TPPF’s Brian Phillips. “To add insult to injury, Borman Elementary has more important problems to focus on. Just 43% of students can read at grade level and only 32% can do math at grade level. That might be why officials there would be afraid of giving parents more power to determine where their kids go to school.”

Billionaires Don’t Need Affordable Energy

What to know: Billionaire climate activists are behind the Biden administration’s permitting ban on LNG exports, a new report in the Wall Street Journal contends.

The TPPF take: President Joe Biden’s policies will hurt developing nations the most.

“The push for green energy by Western elites raises critical questions about its applicability for developing countries like Kenya,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “They need affordable, reliable, and abundant energy now—not a few token green energy projects, designed more to assuage Western environmental consciousnesses than to address urgent requirements.”

Open Borders are Deadly

What to know: A Georgia college student has been murdered, allegedly by an illegal immigrant who was released into the U.S. by the Biden administration.

The TPPF take: Americans are less safe with President Biden’s broken border policies.

“President Biden came in and wasted no time creating an open, accessible, and crime-ridden southern border,” says TPPF’s Selene Rodriguez. “People from El Paso down to the Valley can see the increase in crime, drug and human trafficking, vehicle bailouts, and more. And we won’t stand for it.”
