Electric Road to Nowhere

What to Know: Buick says all of the cars it makes will be electric by 2030.

The TPPF Take: Buick’s unrealistic green dreams will hurt American families.

“Our grid certainly can’t sustain us all switching to electric vehicles right now, we can’t even sustain our demand here in Texas now,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “Costs for electricity are up over 70% this year alone! Fuel costs are up, and that’s going to be crushing the American family.”

Massive Migrant Caravan

What to Know: The migrant caravan now moving north through Mexico could soon be the biggest in history.

The TPPF Take: The Biden administration can no longer deny there’s a crisis at our border.

“Our southwestern border is being flooded by migrants from over 160 nations who are taking advantage of the administration’s blatant disregard for the laws on the books, which require detention and thorough adjudication before any granting of asylum,” says TPPF’s Ken Oliver. “Correcting the gross abuse and mismanagement of the U.S. asylum system is the single most important task that must be accomplished in order to end America’s worsening border crisis.”

Rising Crime Rates

What to Know: Americans are more worried about violent crime rates than they’ve been in more than a century.

The TPPF Take: Americans are demanding that officials focus on crime prevention.

“Our leaders have a duty to combat the scourge of violence with strong leadership aimed at crime prevention, not political posturing,” says TPPF’s Julie Warren. “It is through prevention that success is measured—by victims never created, prison beds vacant for want of occupants, and billions of dollars not spent on revolving prison doors.”
