Gone to Texas

What to know: Yet again, Texas is the number one state that Americans are moving to. According to a new report, “Texas was deemed U-Haul’s most popular state for migration for the second straight year, and sixth time in eight years.”

The TPPF take: Americans are voting with their feet and moving to states, like Texas, that place a premium on life, liberty, and property rights.

“Low tax, limited government states, like Texas, are experiencing phenomenal population growth as more and more Americans flee states dominated by the radical Left. It’s further evidence that conservatism works—and it works well,” says TPPF’s James Quintero.

Open Borders

What to know: President Joe Biden never explains his open borders policy, and no one in the media is asking him the hard questions about it.

The TPPF take: Whether he acknowledges it or not, Biden’s clear intention is to flood the U.S. with new (potentially) Democratic voters.

“Simply put, the goal is to overwhelm America with millions of illegal immigrants and force Republicans to the table to agree to grant citizenship to millions of people here illegally while promising to secure the border,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “Of course, Biden won’t admit that. Instead, we’re left to figure out his policy objectives on our own. Other than repeating the risible lie that ‘the border is secure’ the Biden White House has articulated no coherent immigration or border security policy.”

She Was Wrong

What to know: Scientist Judith Curry now says there is a “climate change industry” set up to reward alarmism, with its origins in the U.N. motivated by “…anti-capitalism. They hated the oil companies and seized on the climate change issue to move their policies along.”

The TPPF take: Climate alarmism is a disservice to American families.

“No matter how shrill the climate cartel cries that the end is near, the American public just isn’t willing to sacrifice the benefits of affordable, reliable energy — which only fossil fuels can provide,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “They see through the disinformation the climate cartel is spreading. Not only is the human race nowhere near the brink of extinction, but our lives and our environment are better than ever before.”
