He’s Right You Know
What to know: President Donald Trump is slamming “green energy” tax credits in the Big, Beautiful budget package now before the U.S. Senate.
The TPPF take: President Trump is right, and the current Senate proposal does not go far enough to end the subsidies now.
“What California and Europe are teaching us is that if governments are unwilling to give up subsidizing wind and solar, ratepayers will pay more and more money to keep gas and coal plants available when the wind and sun drop off,” says TPPF’s Brent Bennett. “Those regions are stuck in a spiral of out-of-control energy costs as they have to spend more and more to keep their fragile grids from collapsing, like what recently happened in Spain.”

Golden State Blunders
What to know: California’s energy policies could soon result in that state’s drivers paying $8 per gallon of gas.
The TPPF take: California’s anti-energy policies are having their predictable effect.
“The core issue is simple: California’s policymakers prioritized renewable energy mandates over affordability and reliability,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “When politicians prioritize ideological energy policies over common sense, the result is higher costs, reduced reliability and greater dependence on foreign energy sources.”

Who Knew?
What to know: Polls and studies show that conservatives are consistently more happy than liberals.
The TPPF take: Of course they are; the modern left has fetishized victimhood.
“The Cooperative Election Study, a 60,000 sample survey, found that among people who report ‘excellent’ mental health, conservatives outnumber liberals 51-20,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “And ‘Liberals outnumber conservatives 45-19 among those voters who say they have poor mental health.’ There’s lots more detail including why men are unhappy with Democrats and why young women are just unhappy.”
