Holiday Road
What to know: Labor Day travel in the U.S. could break records this weekend, with lower gas prices, air fares and eased TSA rules.
The TPPF take: America is back on the move again, in part due to the Trump economy.
“The Biden administration’s war on domestic energy, including the former president’s ham-fisted approach to gas prices, only led to higher energy prices,” says TPPF’s Robert Henneke. “And that was the point—the Democratic agenda includes driving up energy prices to force Americans into electric vehicles and into the kind of low-carbon lifestyle they never seem to adopt themselves.”

Illegal Immigration
What to know: The number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. has declined for the first time in 50 years.
The TPPF take: The media can no longer deny that illegal immigration surged under former President Joe Biden.
“Trump won the election because the reality of the illegal immigration overcame the left-wing spin and now we have a study from the left that proves it,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “The prestigious Pew Research Institute just reported what we knew all along—there were 14 million new immigrants in the country in 2023, a fact they say led to Trump’s re-election.”

Artificial Intelligence
What to know: AI tech companies will challenge state-level regulation of AI, Bloomberg reports.
The TPPF take: Texas lawmakers are right to put some guardrails around AI.
“The conflict between consumer protection and competitive innovation is the driving force behind this dilemma, and Texas provides an excellent example of what good federal AI regulation should look like,” says TPPF intern Gabriel Higbie. “State-enacted laws offer a more effective and tailored approach to local problems and limitations; however, it’s clear that there is also an important role for the federal government in constructing nation-wide AI standards.”
