Justice for Americans
What to know: The Trump administration’s Justice Department is setting up a legal showdown with judges that want to stop the deportation of dangerous illegal aliens.
The TPPF take: These are violent gang members who should be deported.
“After President Donald Trump ordered the immediate deportation of Venezuelan gang members on Saturday, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued an injunction ordering Trump to bring them back,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “Most Americans who continue to be puzzled about whose side progressives are on. They want to keep violent gang members in the country.”

Mexico and Cartels
What to know: Forbes is asking whether Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum can defeat the criminal cartels that are operating with impunity in her country.
The TPPF take: It’s the Trump administration, not the Sheinbaum administration, that is standing up to the cartels.
“What has changed? In a word: Donald Trump,” says TPPF’s Joshua Trevino. “The American president, who was among those who rationally believed that a workable deal could be struck with AMLO and his regime at its outset, now possesses an accurate assessment of the Mexican state’s basic nature, and is making policy accordingly.”

Right to Repair
The TPPF take: Texas needs a right to repair law.
“In the 89th legislative session, the Texas Legislature has a unique opportunity to craft policy that reflects the needs of Texans—whether they are farmers struggling with tractor software restrictions, small business owners fighting for fair competition, or everyday consumers burdened by costly repairs,” says TPPF’s Greyson Gee. “By enacting a right to repair law, Texas can ensure that its residents have the freedom to maintain and repair their property without undue interference and restrictions.”
