Mob Rule?
What to know: A left-wing internet mob convinced an Austin farm to cancel an event with young people from the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Liberty Leadership Council
The TPPF take: Words like “fascist” aren’t just insults; they’re weapons.
“When you call someone Hitler or label them a fascist, you’re not debating policy — you’re signaling that elimination is justified,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “Conservatives must respond not with fury, but facts. Defend free speech. Relentlessly call out this dangerous rhetoric. Democrats: Dial back the Nazi slurs before more blood is spilled. The republic depends on it.”

No Kings!
What to know: One historian is now calling the “No Kings” protest of last weekend “embarrassingly irrelevant.”
The TPPF take: Marxist tantrums are nothing new.
“While the narrative is that these protests and the violence are driven by anger over Trump and the deportations, the truth of the matter lies deeper—at the very foundation of progressivism,” says TPPF’s Austin Prochko. “Marxists have always been spoiled brats throwing a temper when they don’t get their way.”

Transient Trans
What to know: The number of young people identifying as transgender is in free-fall, according to new studies.
The TPPF take: It was always a social contagion.
“Those studies show a substantial decline in the number of young people who call themselves non-binary,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “In some places it is as low as 2%, down from 5.2% last year, and the all-time high of 6.8% in 2023. It’s a big loser for the trans community, but it is a big win for the obvious.”
