What to know: Most Texans now support empowering parents with school choice, a new survey shows.

The TPPF take: Black and Hispanic parents want—and deserve—the best education their children can get.

“School choice is so popular with Texas voters that only one single demographic opposes it,” says TPPF’s Mandy Drogin. “White Democrats—the same group that fought for segregation—is fighting to keep kids whose parents can’t afford to move to a better school district or go to a private school from accessing the American Dream.”

Oh, Really?

What to know: Wisconsin elections are so secure that only a few scores of felons and other ineligible voters are able to slip through the cracks and vote. That’s according to Waunakee Tribune.

TPPF Take: Wisconsin elections are decided by razor thin margins, and letting the world know that some slip the cracks does not ensure voter confidence.

“The voter rolls are a list of active and inactive voters,” says TPPF’s Josh Findlay. “The voter rolls are supposed to be actively maintained by each municipal clerk. Wisconsinites deserve to know that this practice is often not a top priority for election administrators in some of our most populous cities, like Green Bay.”

You Break It, You Bought It

What to know: Democrats are trying to put some distance between Vice President Kamala Harris and the disastrous policies at the southern U.S. border. But Americans know she still owns it.

The TPPF take: Harris was given the border issue to deal with.

“The Biden/Harris administration’s policy shift upon entering office triggered a tsunami of illegal immigration,” says TPPF’s Rodney Scott. “The border security gains earned over three decades vanished and Biden surrendered control of our border to transnational criminal organizations – the cartels.
