No, We’re Not Vetting Migrants
What to know: Despite the Biden-Harris administration’s claims, it’s virtually impossible to truly vet most illegal aliens who come to the U.S. That’s why so many migrants with criminal records have been allowed in.
The TPPF take: Migrants aren’t being vetted at the southern U.S. border, or even before they board flights paid for by taxpayers.
“This is the biggest security threat of the whole border crisis,” says TPPF’s Selene Rodriguez. “It’s one thing if they are sneaking across undetected and we never detain them. But these individuals are requesting access to enter the United States and there is apparently no effective system in place to ensure they are not security threats before we let them in and board flights.”

Regulation Without Representation
What to know: In January 2025, the Supreme Court of Texas will hear oral arguments on TPPF’s landmark lawsuit “to eliminate governmental overreach by cities over citizens not living within city limits.” At issue in the case is whether extraterritorial jurisdictions (ETJs) are unconstitutional since they permit regulation without representation.
The TPPF take: By all appearances, ETJs violate the Texas Constitution’s guarantee to a republican form of government.
“ETJ residents cannot vote in municipal elections, yet city officials are allowed to tell those Texans what they can and cannot do with their property. This is a form of regulation without representation and it is a violation of America’s founding principles,” says TPPF’s James Quintero. “TPPF is excited that the High Court has taken an interest in this immensely important case and is hopeful that every Texan will soon have restored their constitutional guarantee to a republican form of government.”

The Golden State?
What to know: The 2024 U.S. presidential election is turning into a referendum on California, as voters in swing states decide what they want their future to look like.
The TPPF take: Vice President Kamala Harris’ California is a foreshadowing of the U.S. under her leadership.
“The state has aggressively pursued climate policies, which, while championed as progressive and forward-thinking, have also proven costly and economically burdensome for its residents,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “California, once the land of opportunity, now stands as a cautionary tale of what happens when government overreach and regulatory excess are prioritized over economic prosperity and individual freedom.”
