What to know: A federal judge has blocked a new Biden administration rule that would force Texas schools to accept and implement its radical agenda on gender.

The TPPF take: Once again, Texas stood up to the Biden administration’s brazen overreach.

“A big winner of the week is Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who scored in federal court this week when U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor ruled the U.S. Department of Education did not have the power to change the Title IX law to include men and boys who think they are girls,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “The Biden administration had threatened to withdraw federal funds from schools that did not comply.”

But Why?

What to know: China continues to purchase acres and acres of U.S. farmland—much of it near military installations. Lawmakers are starting to respond.

The TPPF take: Ownership of U.S. land by interests tied to the Chinese Communist Party poses a very real national security risk.

“The landscape of American real estate purchases by Chinese nationals or businesses has undergone significant shifts in recent years,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “Initially driven by a desire to offshore savings away from the reach of the CCP and provide a home base for children attending prestigious universities, such investments have now expanded into the realm of farmland acquisitions, ringing national security alarm bells.”

What to know: Mexico’s incoming president, Claudia Sheinbaum, is so closely tied to the former regime and to the criminal cartels that U.S. officials expect little or no improvement in the broken nation.

The TPPF take: Americans should pay attention to what’s happening south of the border.

“There is substantial evidence of the Mexican state actively colluding with cartels, and Mexican president Lopez Obrador (AMLO) has even vowed to use the Mexican military to defend the cartels against any U.S. actions,” says TPPF’s Melissa Ford. “Mexican criminal organizations are the largest criminal threat to the U.S., and Mexico, now a one-party state, will be governed by a left-populist coalition with strong narco-criminal ties for another six years.”
