Sovereignty
What to know: Newly sworn in Polish President Karol Nawrocki will soon meet with President Donald Trump.
The TPPF take: Poland’s political shift is rooted in a crisis that should sound familiar to Americans: weaponized mass migration.
“Poland faced the same chaos America has experienced under former President Joe Biden—hundreds, sometimes thousands, of daily border encounters, with migrants increasingly turning violent against guards,” says TPPF’s Selene Rodriguez. “The Polish people responded with a resounding message: Poland First.”

It’s a Win?
What to know: California Gov. Gavin Newsom is claiming a huge win in the war on homelessness. He says the numbers are down.
The TPPF take: When Newsom’s lips are moving on the topics of homelessness or crime, you know he’s lying.
“California is ground zero for America’s street homeless problem,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “Newsom’s crime and homelessness policies lack the one thing that modern Democrats always seem to lack in their policies: an acknowledgement that responsibility is tied to human flourishing.”

Fighting Back
What to know: Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins have announced a new facility in South Texas for combatting the threat of the New World screwworm, a parasite that can infect cattle and even humans.
The TPPF take: We can’t rely on Mexico to deal with the screwworm outbreak. If left unchecked, the screwworm could decimate American cattle, horses, and wildlife.
“Once it’s here, eradicating it could take decades and cost billions,” says TPPF’s Melissa Ford. “The last time it happened, our livestock industry took 30 years to bounce back. While Mexico cries foul, it’s time we stop pretending we’re dealing with a friendly, cooperative neighbor. We’re not.”
