The American Miracle
What to know: The nation is getting ready to celebrate the 250th birthday of what Regent University is calling the “American Miracle”: the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The TPPF take: America is worth celebrating, but are we teaching our children that?
“As we stand on the cusp of 250 years, there’s a yawning gap: civic literacy,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “A slim 23% think schools do an adequate job teaching U.S. history. Nearly all of us, 93%, agree that too many citizens are clueless about the basics.”

They’re At It Again with the Bugs
What to know: Eat bugs, the left says, “for healthier, greener, tastier food.”
The TPPF take: No thanks.
“What’s up with the bugs?” asks TPPF’s Robert Henneke. “Why are the elites so obsessed with normalizing ‘insect protein’ while finding ways to backdoor ban steaks and seafood—but only for the rest of us?”

Women’s Privacy
What to know: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed legislation that will protect women-only spaces such as public restrooms.
The TPPF take: Similar legislation has been considered in previous sessions, but failed to pass.
“Back then, the left and the media were successful in creating a narrative that portrayed women and girls who wanted private restrooms and locker rooms as stupid bigots,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “They ridiculed Texas State Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, R-Brenham, a former NCAA athlete, who understood what was at stake better than anybody.”
