The Success Sequence

What to know: Tennessee schools will soon start teaching something Americans used to know—“Young adults who graduate from high school, work full-time and avoid having children outside marriage are more likely to thrive… than those who don’t.”

The TPPF take: At TPPF, we have launched the Texas Family Success Agenda, and the success sequence plays a big part of that legislative package.

“Strong families build strong societies,” said TPPF’s Greg Sindelar. “The Texas Family Success Agenda will ensure that our Lone Star State fulfills its promise to protect ‘life, liberty, and happiness’ and secure a prosperous foundation for the next generation.”

Health and Wellness

What to know: Democratic Congressman James Clyburn told CNN’s Jake Tapper recently that former President Joe Biden could have served another four years in office.

The TPPF take: Tapper’s new book is out, which details Biden’s cognitive decline and the efforts of everyone around him to cover it up.

“The whole country – and the world – saw what was going on,” says TPPF’s Sherry Sylvester. “They saw the media fail to report that Biden went for months without doing a press conference, that he confused the names of world leaders, and would wander around aimlessly after speaking. He even had to be rescued by the Easter Bunny at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. It’s the media’s job to tell the truth. They didn’t.”

Drug Prices

What to know: Texas lawmakers are looking for ways to lower prescription drug prices.

The TPPF take: This isn’t just a national issue. It’s also a state—and local—issue.

“President Trump has highlighted in the past how complex and convoluted the drug pricing scheme in his first term and recently signed an executive order that seeks to lower drug prices,” says TPPF’s Dr. Cliff Porter. “Texas can bring down drug prices without engaging in price controls—and it’s time for Texas to take strong steps towards doing so now.”
