Ties to Terrorism

What to know: Illegal immigrants with ties to terrorism continue to exploit our open border, a new Homeland Security report says.

The TPPF take: Vice President Kamala Harris could act today to close the border and improve our national security.

“Here’s the good news, Madame Vice President: You don’t have to wait,” says TPPF’s Robert Henneke. “You don’t even have to reinstate Trump-era policies or enact new reforms. The comically named ‘border security bill’ isn’t needed, either. The laws are already in place.”

Everytown

What to know: It’s not just Springfield, Ohio; the immigration crisis is now impacting other towns and cities throughout the nation. The Wall Street Journal recently focused on Whitewater, Wis., and its struggles.

The TPPF take: The border crisis is now an Everytown crisis.

“Fighting illegal immigration must first take place at the border, but that fight must also take place throughout the nation,” says TPPF’s Selene Rodriguez. “Fortunately, there are strategies to help—along with tools for peace officers to use to combat illegal alien crime throughout the U.S.”

Reagan’s Legacy

What to know: The “Reagan” biographical movie starring Dennis Quaid now has the biggest Rotten Tomatoes “gap” of all time—meaning that critics hate it even more than audiences love it.

The TPPF take: “Reagan” shines as a biopic and a valuable lesson in evil as an organizing principle.

“The film shows the power of the philosophy of liberty in the long twilight struggle against the Soviet Union — and how the former president had to push his own administration toward victory,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “’Reagan’ serves to mark history and inspire a new generation to rise and meet a new and deadly threat in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”
