“That’s why Americans are so disheartened to see the two-tiered justice system that favors the politically connected, preserving the Bidens, the Clintons and others from the Dickensian workings of the criminal justice system,” says TPPF’s Brett Tolman. “We get ‘Bleak House;’ they get Martha’s Vineyard.”

Austin Affordability Crisis
What to know: More than a quarter of homes sold in Austin last year went for more than $1 million, a new study shows. The Austin affordability crisis is getting worse.
The TPPF take: The city’s adoption of new, smaller minimum lot sizes is a win for property owners.
“In 2020, Austin gained an average of 180 new residents a day, causing a shortage of homes and driving up home prices dramatically,” says TPPF’s James Quintero. “This shows that even devoted Austin progressives understand the harsh environment they’ve created, and are working toward undoing some of it. The resolution also provides the opportunity for developers to build at least three units per lot. Such a change will enable a greater amount of housing supply to come online, which will hopefully help ease the affordability crisis somewhat.”

Bidenomics
What to know: The White House is trying to sell the current economy as “Bidenomics.” Americans aren’t buying it.
The TPPF take: Bidenomics is really just a ploy to destroy American energy.
“Biden erroneously claims that his energy policies are a panacea that will offer Americans the best of both worlds, saving money and protecting the environment,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “The president has made poor policy choices about many things—but when it comes to energy, he’s never been more wrong and has weakened our country in the process.”
