Unmasked

What to know: The nation’s largest teachers union has dropped its claim that critical race theory isn’t taught in classrooms. Now, the National Education Association says CRT must be drilled into every American student.

The TPPF take: The goal is clear; the NEA feels that children must be taught that society is divided into two groups: oppressors and the oppressed.

“Educators may claim again and again that they’re not teaching critical race theory, but by their deeds will you know them,” says TPPF’s Kevin Roberts. “Destructive critical race theory concepts are indeed making their way into our children’s understanding of themselves and the world around them. We as parents can’t allow that to happen.”

Even in Texas

What to know: Critics are livid that a discussion with the authors of “Forget the Alamo” was canceled—at the Bullock Texas State History Museum.

The TPPF take: The event was rightly cancelled, because “Forget the Alamo” isn’t history—it’s revisionism.

“Revisionist history discards the evidence and context that make up our historical knowledge; instead, it views everything through the lens of modern (and postmodern) beliefs and biases,” says TPPF’s Tom Lindsay. “And most of all, it swaps facts for feelings—How did Santa Anna feel? How would you feel?”

Violent Holiday

What to know: More than 400 shootings occurred over the Fourth of July weekend, many of them in cities that defunded their police departments.

The TPPF take: Some Democrats are already denying that they ever supported defunding the police, as Americans suffer from the inevitable results of these policies.

“The anti-police crowd and the politicians who threw in with them will face a reckoning in future elections as voters and citizens see defunding and anti-police sentiments for the dangerous ideologies that they are,” says TPPF’s Randy Petersen. “Those victimized by crime in this era, who exponentially outnumber those who are victimized by police misconduct, will play an important role in the paradigm shift that is coming as we look to make our communities safe.”
