State of the Union

What to know: President Joe Biden failed to correctly gauge Americans’ concerns about the border and the economy in his State of the Union speech last week.

The TPPF take: President Biden wants Americans to not believe their lying eyes.

“The No. 1 issue is America today is the crisis at the border, with some 10 million illegal immigrants crossing into the nation since President Joe Biden reversed President Donald Trump’s border security policies on day one,” says TPPF’s Chuck DeVore. “But if you wished Biden would prioritize border security and out-of-control illegal immigration in what most of America hopes will be his penultimate State of the Union address, your wish was denied.”

Not The View We Want

What to know: The hosts of “The View” got a big laugh out of exit polls showing that Americans are concerned about the southern U.S. border and the unchecked waves of illegal immigrant coming across it.

The TPPF take: American families are rightly concerned.

“Biden stuck to his scripted talking points and claimed that he would fix the border if Republicans would pass the Senate Border Act,” says TPPF’s Rodney Scott. “He wants you to ignore the fact that he created the border crisis by signing 94 executive orders in his first 100 days that together removed barriers to illegal immigration and restarted catch and release. President Biden could make meaningful border security improvements today by simply rescinding his prior executive orders.”

Bidenomics

What to know: President Biden didn’t use the word “Bidenomics” in his State of the Union speech. That’s telling.

The TPPF take: Bidenomics has been bad for just about everyone, except those who profit from Big Government.

“Bidenomics believes that government knows best how to run the economy and create jobs. It seeks to achieve its goals through central planning, socialism, and government largesse—and for those very reasons, it is an utter failure,” says TPPF’s James Quintero. “The road to ruin lies through Big Government and progressivism. The path to prosperity lies in the other direction.”
