What to Know: Texas and Florida continue to bus illegal immigrants to cities such as Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.—including to the Vice President’s house.

The TPPF Take: Those in D.C. and other cities are now learning that in effect, every town is a border town now.

“The border crisis is a humanitarian crisis, and the current administration has only made it worse,” says TPPF’s Ken Oliver. “The crisis at our border is no longer just at our border. Criminal organizations are taking advantage of the Biden administration’s stand-down at the border to lure more and more victims, and the effects are felt everywhere in America.”

Rising Prices

What to Know: American families are feeling the stress of inflation, especially higher food prices.

The TPPF Take: Inflation is the result of bad policies in D.C.

“The blame is on the excessive spending, taxing, regulating, and money-printing out of Washington,” says TPPF’s Vance Ginn. “And the progressive fiscal policy pursued by this administration and Democrats in Congress is only making it worse. Signing the misleadingly named Inflation Reduction Act was only throwing gasoline on the raging economic fire.”

Bigger and Bigger

What to Know: Wind and solar energy projects make your electric bill bigger.

The TPPF Take: This is the reality of the “decarbonization” movement.

“The problem is that decarbonization doesn’t mitigate a changing climate, but it does result in scarcity of food and fuel,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “Germans, for example, are paying some of the highest energy bills on the face of the earth. With looming threats of rolling blackouts come winter, and wintertime freezing deaths on the rise, now would be the time to reverse course and embrace energy provided by fossil fuels and nuclear.”
